Seriously?

So all we really need to get for the baby is bedding.  We have everything else, we just need to get the crib ready.  However, I have been searching high and low for bedding that I like and I just can't decide.  I haven't really found anything I love, wait, I take that back, I have but it's like $500 dollars for the set, and honestly, I didn't even spend that much on my bed, so that's a negative.  Anyhow, these are some of the ones that I'm contemplating:

#1 I really like this one, I'm thinking I could add a lot of yellow and brown in so it's not so boy-ish, in case we have a little lady.  I'm not so hot on tons of pink as it is, and this blue is a kind of aqua blue, so it's kind of girly.

#2  I'm not totally hot on the animal theme.  I know it's a unisex thing, but I just have a hard time with it {just like I'm having a hard time that my text is underlined and I can't seem to figure out why and how to fix it!}.  However, I do like the look of these little animals.  So this one's in the running...

#3 I really really like this one.   The colors are kind of boyish, as far as blue and green, but I think the print is quite feminine.  Truthfully, this is my top pick, but Rob doesn't like the paisley, but let's just be honest here, I really really like it.

#4 This is a top pick as well, I like it, but I don't love it, at least not as much as #3.  I like the elephants, how could you not, but I feel like it's a little plain, when compared to #3 because it doesn't have the blue, it's just brown and green, and there's no way to really tie any other colors in.
#5  I just had to throw this one in, if it wasn't for the price, this would already be on the crib.  I LOVE this one!  Love the red, the yellow and the blue and brown.  But alas, I just can't bring myself to spend that much on a crib set.  So needless to say, unless someone wants to give us some green paper, this one is out of the running.

#6. This one is my least favorite, and probably won't make it past here, but for a while I was thinking of doing black and white and then I could just match it with some pink or red.  Nice idea, however, I don't really like the print, it's a little to small and therefore, looks to busy to me.  Most of the black and white bedding I found is that way, so I think I've opted to get away from this idea.  Plus, if you know me, you know I'm a color girl.  I love to have bright colors, so I want something bright and bold, okay, not necessarily bold, but fun and happy.

#7 This goes along with the black and white as well.  They have this in brown also, and I think I may go for that.  I like that this set has a more simple lines rather than all the business of the set above.  However, I'm afraid that this will get dirty quickly and I'm not 100% sure what I could mix it with.  The more I type and think about it though, the more thoughts and options come to mind...it's a possibility.  It has more of a chance than #6.
So there you have it.  PLEASE leave a comment and let me know your vote, maybe why you say that, and if you have any ideas as to what I can do with it.  Time is ticking and this is one of the last things that NEEDS to be done, otherwise little baby won't have a place to lay his head.  BTW, 30 days left, I'm praying all go early! Seriously!

So I like #4. Coming in in close second is #1. Good luck!

I also love #5, have you checked to see if you can find it cheaper on amazon, or bed bath and beyond.com, etc.? You can sometimes find them where it's just the bedding and not the whole set (diaper changer, window valence, etc.) I also love the paisley bedding for a boy or a girl. You could add any color with it and it would look good. There are a lot of possiblities with that one. Really, you couldn't go wrong with any of the choices they are all cute. Good luck!

Hey I just came across your blog, and I would say I love #1 but I love those colors they can go for a girl or boy. I am so excited to see what you have. Its coming so soon I can't believe it last time you cleaned my teeth you were like barely showing time flies.

You have some good choices- I agree finding bedding was so hard, and be glad the one you liked was only $500 the first one I found that I could actually say I loved was $1500! Needless to say- I had to let that love go

Are you planning on having the baby sleep in the crib the day you bring him/her home from the hospital? Because if you aren't (if you have a basinet or pack n play) you could essentially wait until after the baby comes so you could buy for the right gender. I would definitely NOT go with the black and white one that has a lot of white. Babies drool and spit up and while most of it does come out in the wash, you don't want that beautiful bedding looking all dingy and nasty.

Hands down, #9 - THAT is SO FREAKING ADORABLE!!!! And It's the best one to go either way - I think! Can't wait for the little one to come!!! Hang in there, you're almost there. And, at least it hasn't been too hot - hee hee!!!
